about the company
Good design is the ability to apply proper form, function and harmony to any individual space, but it’s also imperative that cohesive balance and mood continue throughout the entire home. Therefore, my goal is to help converge all the right elements to make your home beautiful, comfortable and forever on trend.
I love collaborating with clients who understand the importance of quality furniture that, although alluring and unique, will stand up to wear and tear. These furniture selections are especially important in the home rental market and crucial for families who have children and pets.
Color palette, finishes and material choices are essential design elements I can help you procure to achieve an amazing design that tells your story and communicates your style.
My training in 3D Rendering and Virtualization allows you to obtain photorealistic presentations of your future space before any commitment to buying furniture, lighting, plumbing fixtures and accents. For many (and often all) of these selections, you will have the option to purchase online, and I will supply the shopping list when you agree to the design plan.
You will actually see your room come to life virtually and feel completely confident in your decision making!
On a personal level, I am enamored with all things travel, culture, design and style!
I happen to be the owner of a luxury home rental in Costa Rica, and I have had the privilege to spend time in 20 countries. These experiences have helped guide my design aesthetic, and I have an immense appreciation and respect for an array of styles and periods in which I apply to interior design.
experience
I’m Lacy, and I live in Dominical, Costa Rica with my husband and two little boys. We are originally from Austin, Texas.
I enjoy traveling with my family on our sailboat, weightlifting, spa-ing (did I just make up a new verb?) coffee, hosting parties, charcuterie boards, and wining and dining with friends.
I graduated from the New York Institute of Art & Design and continued my education at eDesignU, where I studied design software rendering platforms. Photorealistic rendering software has been a game-changer for interior design, and I love giving my clients the option of this state-of-the-art service to bring life and scale to their projects.
I graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor of arts in mass communication and a focus in public relations.
My first job was in marketing with the San Antonio Spurs NBA team.
After leaving San Antonio, I worked in the insurance industry for a decade in Austin, TX during which time I earned my MBA in Marketing.
I have decades of experience deigning whole-homes and commercial buildings.
I blend art and technical skills, creativity, and function. I have worked hard to develop a strong process to work in organized synergy with the entire design + build team.
I am naturally drawn to contrast; light and dark elements that feature interesting and carefully curated designs.
I love mixing old with new and personalizing client’s design with treasures and trinkets from their travels. There is something special about a room that stimulates your nostalgic senses and shows off your unique personality.
